The Phillies have announced that eight minor league prospects, including two of their recent first round picks, will start spring training in big league camp.
Malquin Canelo, Tyler Gilbert, Deivi Grullón, Adam Haseley, Cole Irvin, Austin Listi, Mickey Moniak, and JoJo Romero will join the 40-man roster at Brighthouse Field, though all are likely to find themselves back at the Carpenter Complex in minor league camp before opening day.
In addition, Gift Ngoepe, Edward Paredes, and Andrew Romine were signed to minor league deals and given invitations to spring training.
Moniak and Haseley stand out in the group as recent first round picks who have been ranked high on prospect boards.
