Having come back to .500 for the umpteenth time this season, the Phillies host the Nationals for a four-game series and look to finally move and stay above .500.
The Nats are four games behind the Phillies, but have essentially the same run differential. They haven’t been that bad, at least until very recently.
However they’re coming off a 3-game sweep at the hands of the lowly Orioles, so we can either look at it as the wheels are coming off for Washington, or (for many) that the Nats are due for some wins.
