It appears that after his second stint with the Philadelphia Phillies, Freddy Galvis is headed overseas to continue his professional baseball career.
Nishinippon Sports — via Yahoo! Japan — reports that Galvis will join the Nippon Professional Baseball’s Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Broderick Zerpa also tweeted that Galvis is headed to Japan.
Galvis, who recently turned 32, split the 2021 season between the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies. He slashed .242/.302/.407 with 14 home runs and 40 RBIs over the course of his 10th major league campaign.
This was, of course, Galvis’ second go-round with the Phillies.
