Franco smashes first-inning grand slam

PHILADELPHIA -- Maikel Franco gave the Phillies an early 5-1 lead on Saturday, hitting a grand slam off Miami starter Dillon Peters in the bottom of the first inning. Peters came into Saturday evening's game having not allowed an earned run this season.

Franco's shot, which was on the eighth pitch of the at-bat with a 2-2 count, traveled high over the left-center-field wall, and scored Carlos Santana, Scott Kingery and Rhys Hoskins ahead of him.
