As the saying goes, it is never too late to pursue your passion. This especially rings true for former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder prospect Cord Sandberg.
On Saturday, Sandberg tossed his first-ever collegiate touchdown with the No. 15-ranked Auburn Tigers, in their 52-0 rout Saturday opposite the Samford Bulldogs.

Sandberg, 24, officially retired from professional baseball in July 2018; in his tweet announcing his decision, the Bradenton, Florida, native said, “I want to thank the Phillies for allowing me to chase a dream of mine for the last six seasons, but it’s time to chase another one.
