First Look: Roy Halladay’s Hall of Fame plaque

Sunday, Philadelphia Phillies Wall of Famer Roy Halladay was officially inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, joining the most storied museum in sports as part of a 2019 class that also included Mariano Rivera, Mike Mussina, Edgar Martinez, Harold Baines and Lee Smith.

Halladay’s Cooperstown plaque says “Harry Leroy Halladay III” with both “Roy” and “Doc” below it, where it also notes the length of his respective tenures in both Toronto and Philadelphia.

His bio reads as follows: “Top-of-rotation workhorse blended a blistering sinking fastball with pinpoint control, earning Cy Young Awards in both the A.
