FanPost Friday: Interleague play is back!

The scourge of baseball is back again in Philadelphia.

I’m not talking about the designated hitter (although that is a close second) as the thing that is attempting to ruin our precious game. I’m talking about the hare-brained idea that Allan Selig came up with many years ago, the dreaded interleague play. Yes, the Phillies have already partcipated this year, sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays back in April, but this weekend’s tilt against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays has a little more juice to it. With the Phillies only a 12 game back of the Atlanta Braves, even this early in the season, we as fans are looking for a series win to keep the pressure on.
