The Philadelphia Phillies took the first three-game series against the best team they’ve played all year behind a Zack Wheeler masterpiece. The Milwaukee Brewers came in tonight with the third-best offense in baseball by wRC+ but a depleted pitching staff.
Skipping to the eighth inning of a one-nothing Brewers lead, Alec Bohm faced one of the several sinker-slider arms out of Pat Murphy’s bullpen. Elvis Peguero gave Bohm a first-pitch sinker but left it high for Bohm to get it on the barrel.

Matt Strahm came in for the ninth to face the middle of the Brewers order.
