The Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft continued beyond the 1st round last night. We already highlighted the Phillies selection of Cornelius Randolph here at TBOH, and later in the evening the Phils selected University of Arizona 2nd baseman Scott Kingery with their 2nd round choice, the 48th overall pick in the Draft.
The process continued on Tuesday, with teams drafting from rounds 3-10, and will conclude with rounds 11-40 on Wednesday. That draft process can all be followed ‘live’ on the MLB Network, and on the MLB website.
We’ll have a review at the end of all of the Phillies picks, but for now let’s take a look at the players selected in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds: 2nd baseman Scott Kingery, shortstop Luke Williams, and 1st baseman Kyle Martin.
