IT WAS only a matter of time before the National League West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers brought the surging, last-place Phillies back to earth.
Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco delayed that on Tuesday with a game-winning grand slam, but the rookie slugger couldn't manage to lead his team to a series victory in Game 2 of the series last night.
Franco extended his hitting streak to seven games with an RBI double in the third inning, but the Phils weren't able to compete with the Dodgers' offensive production as Jimmy Rollins and company tied the series with a 4-3 victory at Citizens Bank Park.
