The Phillies announced before the first game of the season that Brandon Marsh would be getting the opportunity to start everyday to begin the year. So far through almost one week of the season, they’ve kept that promise, as Marsh has started every one of Philadelphia’s games to this point despite the team facing two left-handed starters through four games.
It is too miniscule a sample size to make any definitive statement one way or the other, but so far Marsh is 4-13 (.308) with a home run, two walks, and five strikeouts. Against left-handed pitching, Marsh is 2-7 with all five of his punchouts and one of his walks.
