After receiving a 10-0 shellacking at the hands of the Houston Astros on Wednesday, the Phillies picked up where they left off on Thursday against the Braves. Matt Olson hit two home runs, the hitters couldn’t figure out Charlie Morton, and they were trailing 4-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth.
But a three-run home run by Brandon Marsh got the Phillies back into the game, a two-run shot by Nick Castellanos put them ahead, and the bullpen made sure the lead held up. The result was a 5-4 win that definitely ranks as one of the more satisfying victories of the season.
