Dick Allen to enter Hall of Fame with Phillies cap on plaque

The Baseball Hall of Fame on Monday announced cap selections for the five new members scheduled to be inducted as part of the Class of 2025.

Legendary slugger Dick Allen will posthumously enter the Hall with a Phillies cap on his plaque. Allen, who played with the Phillies for nine years, was elected to the Hall of Fame on Dec. 8, 2024 via the Classic Baseball Era Committee.

The 1964 National League MVP, Allen batted .292 with a .912 OPS over his 15-year career with the Phillies, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Oakland Athletics.
