Phillies great Dick Allen will get another chance at earning election into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
The late Phillies third baseman, first baseman and outfielder was announced as one of eight candidates on the 2025 Classic Baseball Era ballot.
A 16-person committee, which will be announced later in the fall, will cast their votes next month at the Winter Meetings in Dallas. The committees are usually compromised of notable former players, executives, owners, writers and historians. Any candidate that appears on at least 12 of the 16 ballots (75%) will earn election into the Hall of Fame.
