The Phillies announced Sunday that they’ve added four players (thus far) to their primary roster, as we turn our calendars to September, and roster size expands to 40 for the final time.
Leading the charge of call-ups is 23 year-old catching prospect, Deivy Grullon, who managed to avoid the Rule 5 Draft this year, and has proceeded to put up an exceptional season with the Iron Pigs in 2019. His impressive slash of .283/.354/.496 and 21 homers over 108 Triple-A contests are cause enough for excitement, and it just so happens that Grullon boasts an extremely powerful arm from behind the dish (not AS powerful as former teammate, Jorge Alfaro’s arm, mind you, but powerful nonetheless!
