ATLANTA — The Phillies will be missing a key reliever in the National League Division Series.
David Robertson was left off of the roster. Manager Rob Thomson said the right hander strained his right calf as he jumped to celebrate Bryce Harper’s second inning home run in Game 2 of the NLWCS. He received a PRP injection in Philadelphia on Monday. He has not been ruled out for a possible NLCS.
“He’s devastated. He really wanted to pitch in the series,” Thomson said. “He knows how big of a part he is to this club. Trust me, he’s gonna work and do everything he can to get back as soon as he can.
