Everybody expects the Philadelphia Phillies to trade pitcher Cole Hamels at some point this season. So when reporters entered the clubhouse Thursday and found that his locker had been cleaned out, and his nameplate removed, people started to freak out.

Turns out, that's precisely the reaction Hamels wanted. The 31-year-old pitcher cleaned out his own locker in order to prank the local media, according to Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly.
Earlier in the day, it was announced that Hamels would miss his next start due to a hamstring issue.
