NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie got to talk baseball on a train with a pitcher from his favorite team.
Christie was heading from Trenton to Newark on Amtrak's Acela on Wednesday night when he spotted New York Mets ace Noah Syndergaard in the car.
Christie and the player nicknamed "Thor" sat next to each other before Christie left the train, where a reporter peppered the head of Donald Trump's transition team with questions about the presumptive Republican presidential nominee's choice for vice president.
Christie has been mentioned among the possible candidates.
His visit with Syndergaard is just the latest in many public sports moments for Christie.
