PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — It’s not often when an opposing player receives a curtain call, let alone two curtain calls in the same game.
But then again, it’s not often a player like Chase Utley comes around. And it’s certainly not often when a 37-year-old leadoff hitter goes 2-4 with two home runs, including a grand slam in his first game back to the city he spent over a decade in.
But that’s Chase.
“The whole night was different,” Utley told the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show on Wednesday. “Obviously very, very cool.
