With the All-Star Game upon us, it’s time for me to take my annual look at the “Curse of Johnny Callison” and gauge the chances of a Phillies player earning All-Star Game MVP honors for the first time since Callison in 1964.
With eight members of the team named to the National League team, this seems like the best chance they’ve ever had to end the drought. But just because eight Phillies have been named to the team, it doesn’t mean they all have the same opportunity to earn MVP honors. I’ll rate every player’s chance of capturing the prize.
