Bryce Harper’s top 5 home runs in his first season with Phillies

Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper is celebrating his 27th birthday Wedneday. While he probably would have preferred to celebrate it without hearing about how much success his former team is having in the postseason without him, year one of Harper’s 13-year/$330 million deal with the Phillies was very successful from an individual standpoint.

Following a big second-half, Harper finished the season with a slash line of .260/.372/.510, with 35 home runs, a career-high 114 RBIs, 99 walks and a 4.6 fWAR.

Of course, chicks don’t dig walks. They don’t even dig the wOBA, as much as that phrase caught on in the Phillies clubhouse in 2018.
