The Philadelphia Phillies family got a little larger over the weekend.
Saturday, Bryce Harper and his wife, Kayla, welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Krew Aron Harper:
Harper, who will turn 27 in October, is in the first year of a 13-year/$330 million contract with the Phillies. That means that by the time his contract concludes, his son will be in middle school.
The Phillies placed Harper on the paternity list before Friday’s matchup with the Miami Marlins, a game that ultimately saw the Phillies blow a 6-0 lead and lose 19-11.
