According to a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Jim Salisbury, former Cincinnati Reds manager Bryan Price has become a serious candidate to become the Philadelphia Phillies new pitching coach.
Price, 57, was a pitching coach for the Seattle Mariners (2001–2006), Arizona Diamondbacks (2007-2009), and Reds (2010-2013) prior to taking over as the Reds manager in 2014. He spent four full seasons as manager in Cincinnati before getting fired 18 games into the 2018 season.
Price was recently offered to return as the Arizona Diamondbacks pitching coach job, but reportedly declined despite interest in coaching again.
