Final Score: Brewers 10, Phillies 0
Inconsistency has been a recurring theme of the 2021 Philadelphia Phillies season. In a reversal of roles, the Phillies followed up their 12-0 Labor Day victory with a 10-0 loss in Game 2 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Most of the damage was done in the third and sixth innings. The Brewers scored three against Phillies starter Aaron Nola and knocked him out of the game after just five innings.
After scoring 12 runs Monday, the Phillies couldn’t generate any offense against Brewers starter Eric Lauer, who tossed seven shutout innings.
