The sizzling Phillies had some water thrown over them Sunday afternoon. After three straight wins against the Atlanta Braves to open the homestand, the offense idled and starting pitcher Adam Morgan didn't help matters. It added up to a 6-2 win for the Braves before 24,361 at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies entered the game 12-2 since the all-star break. Not only did they have the best record, but they also owned the top run differential (plus-35).
Braves righthander Julio Teheran, who has been inconsistent this season, allowed just two runs in seven innings while striking out seven and walking none.
