Phillies bench coach Larry Bowa interviewed with the Miami Marlins on Monday regarding their managerial job, according to two baseball sources.
Bowa, 69, was one of four coaches the Phillies invited back for next season under manager Pete Mackanin. The former manager of the Phillies (2001-2004) and San Diego Padres (1987-88) has served as the team's bench coach the last two seasons.
Marlins manager Dan Jennings, the team's general manager until he unconventionally occupied the skipper's office beginning in May, is expected to return to the team's front office. The Marlins had already interviewed Bo Porter and Manny Acta for their managerial gig.
