Everyone reading this knows a Phillies Killer. You can probably think of a few names right now. But a proper hero vs. nemesis relationship needs to be more personal than that: not team vs. man, but man vs. man. Which raises the question: which batter has been the biggest problem for the Phillies’ pitchers as individuals? Who’s their archenemy, the fated foe? For argument’s sake, let’s look only at matchups with a minimum of 20 plate appearances, and find the players with the highest OPS against the Phillies moundsman in question. That’s an arbitrary way to make the determination, but that’s alright: rivalries tend to be a little be arbitrary anyway.
