PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies will try to make it three straight wins tonight as they continue their series in New York against the Yankees.
Last night, for a second straight game, the Phillies were sharp at the plate as they pounded out 18 hits en route to an 11-8 win in the series opener against the Yankees. It was another big night for third baseman Maikel Franco as he went 4-5 with a pair of home runs, three runs scored and five runs batted in.
The Phillies have scored 20 runs, total, in their last two games.
