It may have taken a little longer than anticipated, but Jesse Biddle has finally arrived at Coca-Cola Park.
The Phillies first-round pick and the 27th selection overall in the 2010 June draft was promoted from Double-A Reading to the IronPigs Tuesday night and is scheduled to start Wednesday night's home game against Pawtucket.
Biddle joins last year's top pick, Aaron Nola, in the IronPigs' starting rotation.
Three years ago it appeared that the left-hander's arrival at Triple-A was imminent after he posted a 1.74 ERA in his first five Double-A starts and finished his first year at Reading with a 3.
