Trea Turner did not have a good night last night (neither did you, presumably). He was 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts and nothing else to put on the board; he’s lucky his airmailed 3rd inning throw to second didn’t become an error. You could say that Turner is a stand in for the Phillies in general; superstar potential, but the habit of going, and staying, ice-cold seemingly at random and with no sign of when the fever will break. As Turner went last night, for what would prove to be the final time this season, so did the Phillies.
