Since 1995 the Atlanta Braves have won the NL East 18 times, including every season from 2018 through 2023. Despite signing Chris Sale in the off season, possibly for the sole purpose of finally putting the Phillies to bed in early October, the Braves are on track to fail to claim the top spot in the division. In fact, because of a surprisingly aggressive New York Mets squad, the Braves have found themselves in a fight to hang onto the final Wild Card spot.
