With the massive offensive deficiency of the outfield and the inconsistent and uninspiring bullpen construction, it was only a matter of time before the Phillies began making roster moves. On Monday, they took the first step in mixing up the outfield by demoting Cedric Hunter and calling up David Lough. Today it’s the bullpen’s turn.

With Daniel Stumpf’s PED suspension pushing him to the disabled list and James Russell being designated for assignment, the only one of the three Opening Day lefty relievers left standing is long reliever Brett Oberholtzer.
