Altherr clears bases with 3B for 3-RBI day

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The Phillies rallied to score a pair of runs in the ninth to erase a two-run deficit and tie the Rays, 5-5, Wednesday afternoon at Charlotte Sports Park.

Trailing 5-3, Roman Quinn drew a leadoff walk from Jacob Faria to start the Phillies' ninth. One out later, Jesmuel Valentin doubled to right. Quinn scored when Cameron Perkins grounded out to second. Hector Gomez's RBI double scored Valentin to tie the game at 5.

The Rays were retired in the ninth, and extra innings were not played.
