He may not have been in the lineup, but it just so happened that all of the attention was on the 36-year-old second baseman, as trade rumors echoed throughout the clubhouse at Citizens Bank Park.
Not long after last night's 7-4 win over the Blue Jays, it was official: The Phillies traded Utley and cash considerations to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for outfielder Darnell Sweeney and righthander John Richy.
Throughout last night's game, Utley remained in plain view at the ballpark, warming up alongside his Phillies' teammates and taking batting practice.
