Adam Morgan returned to triple A last month as a pitcher who appeared to be losing his footing with the Phillies. He was being shuffled between the team's starting rotation and the bullpen. The lefthander lacked an identity, which he may have rediscovered in the minor leagues.
Morgan excelled with the IronPigs, registering a 2.76 ERA in five starts before rejoining the Phillies on Sunday. But the game did not quite grant him the chance to showcase his growth as he left the game in the fourth inning after being hit on the left arm by a line drive.
