Monday marked four weeks since Aaron Nola had been injected with platelet-rich plasma in his right elbow, and he celebrated by seeing a Phillies team doctor. Nola will not pitch again this season, but the Phillies want him to eventually restart a throwing program so they can ascertain whether a non-surgical plan will work.
There is no date yet for Nola to pick up a baseball again. Nola said the team will go week to week in deciding his status.
"It feels good," Nola said Tuesday. "No pain like there was before, which is nice."
The test, of course, is when Nola actually throws again.
