Phillies starter Aaron Nola went from getting rocked in his last start to making history on Friday evening.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Nola struck out his 10th consecutive Met, tying a Major League record set over fifty years ago.
Fittingly, the pitcher whose record he tied is Mets legend, Tom Seaver, who set the record on April 22, 1970.
