After Tuesday night’s wackiness, Wednesday night's game between the Phillies and Rays was a bit more mundane. Zack Wheeler pitched six strong, if inefficient innings. Nick Castellanos hit a home run. The Phillies scored the go-ahead run thanks to some BABIP goodness, and the bullpen continued to excel. The result was a 3-2 Phillies win, capping off a three-game sweep of the Rays.
A night after receiving a beaning, Nick Castellanos was assuredly looking for a little payback on Wednesday. It didn’t take him long to get it.
