July 29 has often been an active day for the Phillies since the turn of the century and this year could be no different. An ESPN.com report said the Phillies asked several teams to turn in their “best” offers by today for Cole Hamels, meaning they could very well trade him with about 48 remaining before the non-waiver trade deadline Friday at 4 p.m.
Hamels could certainly be added to the following list by the end of the day and if he is, it’s safe to say the magnitude of the move would rank it at, or near, the top of the trades made on this day.
