This week, we’ve gone over the state of the Phillies’ bullpen for 2025. I’ll close things out by offering a few predictions for the relievers:
The “Alvaradossaince” is real
It’s not Spring Training without a few “best shape of his life” stories, so I understand if anyone was skeptical when Jose Alvarado supposedly arrived in Clearwater in better condition than years prior. But Alvarado has indeed slimmed down, and more importantly, he’s looked dominant on the mound.
I’m not sure exactly what happened to Alvarado last year, and why he became unusable around midseason.
