Ten interested teams scouting Cliff Lee's return start on Monday

In today's Phillies rumors and news update, ten interested teams will have scouts in Philadelphia on Monday as starting pitcher Cliff Lee takes the mound for the Phillies for the first time since being sidelined by an elbow injury on May 18th.

According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, the list does not include the New York Yankees who already scouted Lee during his last rehab start at Clearwater:

In contrast to the Yankees, this marks the second straight start of Lee's that representatives of the Blue Jays will attend - sparking speculation that the once-division leaders are all-in on trying to get back to the playoffs for the first time since their back-to-back World Series victories in 1992 and 1993.

The Tigers are another intriguing fit in that they have reportedly been fixated on improving the bullpen in their quest for a fourth-straight AL Central title. An acquistion of Lee and his hefty price tag could speak volumes about Detroit's diminishing confidence level about potentially re-signing Max Scherzer during the winter.
