According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, there's a "strong possibility" that Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Marlon Byrd will be traded prior to Opening Day of the 2015 MLB season.
Per ESPN's Jayson Stark, the Baltimore Orioles could emerge as a potential destination for Byrd if they decide to look for an impact bat on the trade market:
If the #Orioles turn to the trade market to fill their need for a bat, #Phillies OF Marlon Byrd is a name on their radar screen, sources say

The Orioles appear to be a logical destination for Byrd based both on their need (following Nelson Cruz's departure) and the relative cheapness of Byrd's remaining two years at $8 million apiece.
To put that into perspective, the Orioles signed Nelson Cruz to a one-year, $8 million deal prior to his breaking 2014 campaign with the team.
Stay tuned.
