Major League Baseball has come down on Philadelphia Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon after he grabbed his crotch in response to a jeering sect of home fans following a blown save against the Miami Marlins on Sunday.
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports 1, Papelbon will be out of action for about half of Philadelphia's remaining games:

After umpire Joe West ejected Papelbon for his rude gesture, Papelbon told reporters that West “basically came over and said that I did an inappropriate gesture and I had no clue what he was talking about.”
West saw things differently. “The whole thing started because the fans booed him, and he made an obscene gesture,” West said to a pool reporter. “He had no business doing that. He’s got to be more professional than that. And that’s why he was ejected."
Feel free to judge for yourself below...
No word yet on whether Papelbon will appeal the ruling.
