Last Friday morning, the National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players’ Association jointly announced that they have reached an agreement with the International Ice Hockey Federation to have NHL players participate in the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. The NHL and NHLPA do have a possibility to reserve the right to withdraw from the Olympics if any evolving COVID-19 conditions are deemed by the players to be too impractical or unsafe.
