After defeating the Minnesota Wild 7-4 in their last contest, the Philadelphia Flyers looked to mimic that offensive performance taking on the Boston Bruins at home.
Carter Hart got the start in-net and faced Jaroslav Halak for Boston. Halak had a 13-7-3 record coming in, with a 2.39 Goals Agains Average, and a .924 save percentage. The 33 year old goaltender struggled a bit in his three starts prior to the contest and Philadelphia’s offense needed to continue that trend to win the game.
The Flyers failed to convert on a power play opportunity to begin the game and it proved to be costly for the team.
