After achieving victory in their last game, the Philadelphia Flyers took on the Columbus Blue Jackets hoping to avenge the October 18th loss earlier this season.
Anthony Stolarz earned his third straight start, and opposed former Flyers net-minder Sergei Bobrovsky. Bobrovsky hasn’t looked the best to start the year with a 10-9 record, 3.04 Goals-Against Average, and a .901 save percentage coming in. It would be key for Philadelphia to get pucks on net early and often given Bobrovsky’s early struggles.
Claude Giroux gave the Flyers an early lead, scoring the game’s first goal six minutes in for his tenth goal of the season.
