With the 2018-19 season now a thing of the past, the Philadelphia Flyers definitely have work to do to improve their team. Finishing the year on a five game losing streak isn’t exactly good, which leads me to believe the Flyers will move on from Scott Gordon.
Gordon did a fine job in his relief of Dave Hakstol (ew) and clearly built a solid relationship with the players in the locker room. Still, the results simply weren’t there. General Manager Chuck Fletcher did say during his press conference on Monday that Gordon is still a strong candidate for the job, but he’s probably more of a fall back option at this point.
