The word everyone uses to describe Morgan Frost: smart

In giving up Brayden Schenn to St. Louis, the Flyers acquired the Blues’ pick in the first round of Friday night’s draft and used it to select Morgan Frost, a center from the Ontario Hockey League.

A quick look and listen to draft pundits revealed one thing at least. They all used the same word to describe Frost: smart.

Craig Button, on NBCN: “Morgan’s a real smart player. He’s not going to overwhelm you or catch your attention with up-and-down, toe drags, and that kind of play. But he’s a playmaker. He gets the puck to his wingers…smart, dependable, knows where to be on the ice, can break up plays…This is an idea that probably, in three years time, Morgan Frost will be ready to try and take a shot at a spot in the lineup.
