Wayne Simmonds has been quite the topic of discussion since the onset of the 2017-18 regular season. He was entering the fifth year of a six-year contract following a fairly typical Simmonds-esque season, so many wondered what the future might hold for the 29-year old power-forward when it came to his status in the Flyers’ organization.
