The Flyers, like virtually every NHL team, are a melting pot of the world. Their roster is filled with players from the United States, Canada, Russia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Austria.
After Monday's practice in Voorhees, all sounded amused by the U.S. presidential election Tuesday and the events that have led up to it.
"It's a bleep show," winger Jake Voracek, a native of the Czech Republic, said of the preelection events surrounding Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
"I'm ready for it to be over," said winger Chris VandeVelde, who grew up in Minnesota and cast an early vote, via an absentee ballot, for Clinton in that state.
